The birth town of Petőfi Sándor nourishes the cult of its most famous son since 1890, „the little house with a thatched roof” still functions as a real pilgrimage nowadays. It has been a traditional wine producing region since 1815, its light wines grown on sandy soils are rightfully popular in the entire country. Places of interest are the János Vitéz Visitor Centre, Old Car Museum, Slovakian Traditional House, Petőfi Sándor Birth house and Memorial Museum, and the Thermal Bath of Kiskőrös.
